About this Blog
This blog has been created for several reasons. It serves as a Personal Blog, a Professional Blog, and a Corporate Blog for MoralMoney.com.
Personal Blog- This blog is used as an informal medium for me to get to meet some of you and for you to get to know me better. The unfortunate part of running a company online is that the people running it are easily forgotten and the people using the site often just see it as a faceless entity. I don’t want that to happen with Moral Money. I think that it’s important, especially in biblical and financial matters, that you know the person that you’re getting information from. So I use this blog to share biblical and financial insights that I think are relevant to Christians trying to serve as stewards. I may also tell personal stories as a way for you to know me better and understand the perspective I’m coming from.
Currently, I publish personal posts on Mon, Wed, and Fri, of each week.
Professional Blog- I am not a licenced professional. Running Moral Money does not permit me to carry any SEC licences because of the subject matter that we focus on (Christian Investing and stewardship from a biblical perspective). This means that I am not authorized to buy/sell anyone securities such as stocks or bonds and I cannot charge for financial advice. Carrying licences would also restrict me from talking about companies by name and making any sort of financial recommendations. Now with that out of the way I can tell you that I have been working in the financial industry for several years now and the financial information that I post is an educated opinion. I am not someone who “worked myself out of debt and now I want to show you how I did it”. While I have been in debt and understand the stresses that it brings, I have also sat on the other side of the table. As part of my career I have met with people in many different financial situations each with unique problems that need to worked through individually at a personal level. I will use this blog to share some of the common trends that I have seen among people in financial trouble and give my opinion on how to avoid many financial pitfalls. I will also, from time to time, post some useful techniques that can help manage personal finances. Please understand that anything I post is directed to a wide audience and should only be taken as a “thumb rule”. This means that it is good advice in general but there are always personal situations where it may not apply. Please judge for yourself if this information would be appropriate for you.
This information may be posted at anytime including in conjunction with the personal posts.
Corporate Blog- As the Moral Money Corporate blog, updates and changes to MoralMoney.com and it’s associated sites will posted here. For example, if MoralMoney.com will be offline for maintenance, or if we begin offering a new service, it would be posted here as well as on MoralMoney.com.
This information may be posted anytime but will always be posted as a separate post.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about this blog. I always welcome your comments, opinions and concerns. If there is something posted that you would like some more information on, you can email me at Mark@MoralMoney.com. I try to make it a point to respond to each legitimate email that I get. Even if I don’t have an answer to your question, I’ll be sure to let you know.
