Hi everyone. A little about me. My name is Mark Allen Minnella Jr. but feel free just to call me Mark. I grew up in St. Louis, MO and lived there until I was 18. When I was young my father owned and operated a music store in south St. Louis before he started working in finances in the mid 1980’s. He is currently the president of Intergrity Investors located in St. Louis county where he offers biblically sound financial and investment advice as well as manages money for his clients. My mother has been a Registered Nurse for as long as I can remember and still works part time at a hospital for children whose families cannot afford the care that the child needs. She also works full time at Integrity Investors as the head of operations. Both are members and regularly attend Bethel Community Church where Mark Minnella Sr. (my dad) serves as a Decon.

As I said earlier, I grew up in St. Louis, raised by my parrents. After High School I joined the U.S. Navy to see the world. I served in the Navy for a total of 6 years as a Machinest Mate (Nuclear). Four of those years were on board the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) where I did two overseas tours in support of the current war in Iraq.
Even though I was raised in a Christain home my younger years were running with the world. I came to Christ in my fourth year in the military, and joined Thalia Lynn Baptist Church in Virginia Beach, VA with my new wife Shelly. We were married on July 18, 2003.
Not long after I felt the Lord was calling me out of the engineering field and into business. I started taking college classes while out at sea to get a degree in finance. After about a year I changed my major to Nuclear Engineering Technologies because it was the degree I was closest too. I continued to study business in my free time and still felt that the Lord was calling me to use my knowledge to help people but I wasn’t sure how.
My enlistment ended in January 2007 and Shelly and I moved back to St. Louis. A couple of weeks later I started working at my Dad’s company Integrity Investors, LLC. as a life insurance agent and radio co-host on “Financial Peace with Mark Minnella” on KJSL AM630. Over the next few months I began to learn my way around the financial realm and “Faith-Based Investing” (Now referred to as “Biblically Responsible Investing to distinguish it from other faiths), which my Dad helped pioneer in the Christian financial community. I worked with him for over a year learning about investing and the biblical implications of investing when I decided to go another route. Over the previous year I began to realize that the biggest problem that Biblically Responsible advisors faced was getting the information to the public. Because of SEC regulations and licences, they were not allowed to get on the radio and tell the public things like “GE sells more hard-core pornography each year than Hustler magazine”. So I decided that instead of getting my licences and investing for clients, I would try to help spread the word for Biblically Responsible investors. My dad and I hatched the plan for MoralMoney.com and not too long after, it became the only website on the net that offered users free access to an online company screening service. Just before MoralMoney.com’s official launch, God blessed us with a little girl. Jaiden Leigh Minnella was born on June 3, 2008.
I have been running Moral Money full time now for almost a year and finally feel that this is where God wants me to be.
I started this blog both as a way to get to know the people who use Moral Money’s products and as a way for you to get to know me. I don’t claim to be all knowing but I share what biblical insights the spirit has given me. I am always willing to discuss your opinions or concerns however far down the rabbit hole it may take us. This blog is not intended to be mearly a surface study about stewardship but to go deep, to understand what the bible truly says about stewardship and how it applies to every part of our lives.
